An immersive performance that combines technology, art and storytelling to explore the depths of the ocean, both visually and auditorially. This project was realized using Makey Makey and TouchDesigner, incorporating a hands-on and experimental approach. An Arduino-like board allowed for handheld sounds inspired by the deep sea to be launched, while projected audio-reactive graphics dynamically transformed the lighting of the space.
As the piece progressed, light reflections and light changes recreated the different layers of the ocean, immersing the audience in a sensory journey into the unknown.
The development also focused on spatial and lighting design, using reflectors to
mirror the graphics and transform the room into a changing environment as the
visual and sound narrative descended into the abyssal zones. Inspired by the
tragic story of the Titan submarine during its attempt to reach the wreckage of
the Titanic, this work fuses conceptual exploration with the use of interactive
technologies, presenting a integrated approach to design and execution in technological performances.
Join us on an immersive journey into the depths of an imagined ocean, where light and sound intertwine to tell stories hidden in the abyssal. The space is transformed into a changing landscape, an underwater universe where the layers of the sea come to life through vibrant reflections and hand-held sounds that emerge from the depths.
