BLOOD REMAINS INDISSOLUBLE (WIP)
My next film project after graduating from film school focuses onexploring functional and story-telling fiction.
The plot follows a sisterhood of vegan vampires who have renounced their primal hunger as they welcome a new member destined for sacrifice during a blood moon eclipse. Her arrival shatters their pact, awakening
forbidden desires and exposing the fragility of their union.
What seemed like salvation reveals itself as control, and the eclipse becomes a mirror of transformation where shadows demand a price and the point of no return is written in blood.
The project is inspired by the stories of Vernon Lee, blending an oneiric approach with the visual treatment of Jean Rollin, Nobuhiko Obayashi, Jesús Franco and Amy Goldstein. To construct the characters and their paths, I am employing the Tarot as a creative and generative tool, exploring the symbology of the major arcana and their connection to Jungian archetypes. This approach allows a more human and deeper construction of the conflicts, integrating symbolism and narrative in the same universe. The story will unfold in the Pabellón de los Hexágonos in Madrid, enhancing the atmospheric and surreal quality of the narrative.
A hundred years walking. A hundred years containing the hunger, fleeing from her own shadow. A redeemed vampire is merely a blade suspended in time, a suffocated impulse that never truly fades. During a blood moon eclipse, as the moon turns scarlet, a sisterhood of vampires who have renounced their ancestral hunger welcomes a new member destined for sacrifice. Her arrival will awaken forbidden desires and shatter the fragility of their union, confronting them with an inevitable question: What are we when blood calls and the familiar crumbles? A refuge. A pact. A promise: the thirst vanishes if you surrender your gaze, if you renounce the vertigo of being only one. But the moon bleeds, and shadows always demand something in return.
